MAP25: Demonic Hordes is the twenty-fifth map of the second release of Alien Vendetta. It was designed by Vincent Catalaá and Sam Woodman. It uses the music track "You Suck," the game over theme from Rise of the Triad. In the first release, it was MAP24, with the MAP25 slot taken by Valley of Echoes. Valley of Echoes was replaced in the second release by MAP24: Clandestine Complex, and Demonic Hordes was moved to the MAP25 slot. The level consists mostly of big battles with hordes of enemies teleporting in several areas as the player progresses through the level. The par time defined in the executable is 27:00.

Alien Vendetta started out many years ago as a project to follow in the style of Hell Revealed. As explained in the text file, as more people joined the project the emphasis shifted more towards a traditional megawad with more emphasis on architecture and fun gameplay. The final result is 32 levels somewhere between the bruising fun of The Plutonia Experiment (Final Doom) and the extreme gameplay and deep atmosphere of Hell Revealed.

Eviternity has overall a good performance… Except two parts, I think the first one is where you got stuck, a big circle area in a winter map right?, and the second is a castle map which I think it’s map 15, 16 or 17. It’s a pity modern engines like GZDoom have still this limitation, I remember I started lowering diverse graphical options (AA, texture res., lightning, etc) and it barely made a dent, the framerate stays low when looking at specific directions.
